The two Rift Dunk Assist modes

Mode 1: L1 on PlayStation / LB on Xbox
Hold the assigned button to start the one-button dunk workflow, then release using the current customer instructions.
Mode 2: Circle on PlayStation / B on Xbox
Use the legacy-safe path together with R2/RT. This keeps the input closer to the older control style.

Set it up in 3 steps

Open Dunk Assist

Open the Rift menu and move to the Dunk Assist page.

Choose one mode

Select L1/LB or Circle/B. Do not test both during the same drive.

Save and repeat

Exit with Circle/B to save, then repeat the same approach and button timing before changing the mode.

If the dunk input is not doing what you expect

  • Confirm the active Rift build.
  • Make sure Dunk Assist is not Off.
  • Use the button shown for your selected mode.
  • Check that another shooting or dribble action is not already running.
  • Record a short clip for EmberZens support if the same setup keeps failing.
